Academic Session
Usually the classes begin from the first week of August every year and continue till the end of April the following year. There are Autumn (October) and Winter (December) breaks as notified by the University.
Admissions
B.Ed. class (200 seats) : Through a combined entrance test conducted by the State University (Panjab/Punjabi/Guru Nanak Dev) during the month of July every year. The score obtained in the test is the criterion of merit. 15 percent of the seats are filled on All India basis and the 85 percent seats from the State pool. Reservation policy of the State is followed.

Students belonging to Schedule Caste/ Schedule Tribe category are given exemption from admission and tuition fee.
Eligibility conditions for appearing in the Final Examination
To become eligible in the University examination a candidate must fulfill the following conditions:
- Qualify in the House test securing at least 20 percent marks in each paper.
- Attend at least 75 percent of the total number of lectures delivered in each paper.
