Syllabus Outlines Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) 2006 – 2007 Examination
The syllabi for the B.Ed. course will consist of the following three parts:
- Part – I: Theory 700 marks
- Part – II: Skill in Teaching 300 marks
- Part – III: Sessional Work 200 marks
Total 1200 marks
Part – I I Part – II I Part – III
Part – II: Skill in Teaching (300 marks)
This part will consist of the following:
- Five core micro teaching skills in simulation and two lessons in each skill
- At least two demonstration lessons in each subject.
- At least two discussion lessons in each subject.
- At least thirty observation lessons, i.e. fifteen in each subject besides observation of demonstrations and discussion lessons.
- Teaching practice of 30 days with a minimum of twenty five lessons in each subject.
- Black board writing and sketch making.
- Preparation of at least two teaching aids in each subject.
At least twenty five percent of the lessons delivered by a candidate should be elaborately supervised and supervisor’s remarks, comments and suggestions should be written on the candidate’s lesson note book. The Principal of the college will certify on the lesson notebook of the candidate that the above requirements have been completed. Teaching practice will be completed before the commencement of the University Examination. As far as possible, the discussion lessons will be supervised.
Internal evaluation of each paper will be as under:
- Two discussion lessons -20 marks
- Two Teaching Aids -20 marks
- Overall Teaching Practice - 10 marks
Practice of Teaching: Marks 100
- Two discussion lessons in each subject - 20+20
- Two teaching aids in each subject - 20+20
- Overall school teaching practice - 20
